Mobile CPR & First Aid Instruction Since 1985

About Us
Dummies on the Run has been teaching CPR and first aid in Michigan since 1985.
Founded by a critical care nurse/paramedic who believed lifesaving skills should be accessible to everyone, we've spent 40 years bringing friendly, hands-on instruction to child care centers, workplaces, schools, and kitchen tables across the region.

Jerry Buffman
Founder & Instructor
Jerry spent her career as a nurse/paramedic, working in emergency & pediatric emergency at University of Michigan, critical care & coronary care in Anchorage, and the regional Burn Unit in Seattle.
Jerry started Dummies on the Run in 1985 with a simple idea: that small, friendly, accessible classes could reach the people that big institutional training never did. She still teaches every class herself.

She is a successful entrepreneur in her own right, having started a kid's swim school and a wonderful Scone business called "SconaLisa".
